Just a quick note to let
you know that you can now buy and download "Ghosts and Legions" directly
from our merch page via Snocap. The holidays are coming... why not give the
gift of metal? There's also still time to buy tickets or get on the
will-call list for December 6th - just email
jameslsutter@gmail.com.

Friday's show at Ground
Zero was totally awesome - thanks to everybody who came out, as well as to
the bands and the bookers who made it so much fun. (An extra-special
shout-out to our newfound brothers in Girl On Fire... those kids can rock,
and definitely deserve your support.)
But that's in the past, and in America, we believe in THE FUTURE! Yes,
the future - like our upcoming Seattle show at the King Cat Theater with
none other than local pop-rock icons Daphne Loves Derby. Some may ask if our
particular brand of screaming and riffage will blend well with their soulful
melodies. Will the world implode, like the Large Hadron Collider promised
but never delivered? Or will the meeting of different musical genres be just
the first step in the cross-the-aisle nonpartisan future promised by the
Obama administration? BE THERE AND FIND OUT!
For tickets or to get on the no-obligation, super-cheap will-call list,

Brief news post! If you're
in Seattle, we've got our first home show in six months coming up Saturday,
December 6th at the King Cat Theater with Dressed to Kill - should be an
absolute blast. Also, on Monday we showed up on the awesome metal podcast
Minnesota Mayhem - they were doing a "metal of Washington" show that's
well worth your time. Check it out.

Just
a quick note to let people know that we've got a new show coming up -
Friday, November 7th at Ground Zero with Girl on Fire, New
Heights, and Suburban Vermin! It's a great bill (and a little less brutal than usual, so all you
non-screamy folks should head out to this one :), and we're super excited to
play, so bring your friends and let's rock out! 7:00pm, all-ages, just $6
($5 if you donate a can of food).

Hey everybody! Just wanted
to drop in and let you know that Sunday, August 24th marked a momentous day
for the band - the first time a song from "Ghosts and Legions" has been
played on commercial radio. Specifically, 99.9 KISW, "The Rock of Seattle."
If you missed it, you can
stream the show here. DJ Steve Rock had some very complimentary
things to say about "Janus" on-air:
"Here's a new band you
haven't heard of, because they just started up a year or two ago, called
Shadow at Morning. They're pretty heavy, and this is a pretty long song, but
it's cool 'cause I don't think you can really pigeonhole these guys, they
don't sound like one exact type of thing. They're a little bit of everything
all rolled into one. If you like Killswitch Engage, but like a little longer
songs, a little more epic... well, you can imagine. Here it is."
Thanks so much to Steve and
everybody at KISW. Also, remember that odds are good your favorite radio
station - be it 99.9, KEXP, The End, Funky Monkey, etc. - has a copy of
"Ghosts and Legions" in their collection, so don't be afraid to drop their
local show an email or IM and request a song if you're in the mood for some
metal!

THE NEW EP IS UP ON ITUNES
AND AMAZON.COM. That's right! You can now buy Ghosts and Legions in a
completely digital format for just $4 - that's 13 cents a minute! You can't
even use those phones they have on airplanes for that price, let alone get
30 minutes of smash-your-face-in prog metal. So why not open up your iTunes
or visit the album's page on amazon.com and check it out?
Of course, if you want to preview the songs first, you can always
listen to the whole thing
on myspace or check
out some badass new live videos from our most recent Showbox show.
(There are also some new pictures up as well.)

It's here! After weeks of
toil, our new EP is finally ready to face the world. All 30 metal minutes
will be available on iTunes, Amazon.com, and the other major digital music
stores shortly, but in the meantime, you can listen to the who thing for
free at
www.myspace.com/shadowatmorning.

Hey
folks! Just wanted to let you know about a big event we've got coming up. On
May 30th, we'll be playing an all-ages show at the Showbox with one of the
best local lineups you'll see all year. What's more, it's our ONLY SHOW in
the area for 5 months, so you definitely don't want to miss out!
Why such a long gap? There's some interesting news there as well. For the
summer, we'll be taking two months off while Z heads off to Japan as part of
his graduate studies. And until the Showbox show, we'll be working with
Rainstorm Studios (Himsa, Iamthethorn, etc.) to make some wicked new demos
that we'll be releasing for free at the show. It's an exciting time, metal
warriors!
To get your tickets for the Showbox in advance and save some cash (highly
recommended), contact your band member of choice or email
jameslsutter@yahoo.com
to arrange a hand-off.

HOLY COW, GUYS. There
are some seriously good shows coming your way. This coming Sunday, March
2nd, we're going to be playing Hell's Kitchen in Tacoma with the
world-famous 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, Toxic Holocaust, Mos Generator, and A Quiet
Uprising. It's an honor to be playing with 3IOB, as we've been fans of
theirs since we started this whole business, and you definitely won't want
to miss it. (Please note that this has replaced our previous Hell's Kitchen
date.) For those on the Eastside, we'll be coming home to roost with an
ass-kicking all-ages show at Ground Zero on March 28 with Mirror the Ghost,
The Formal, and Theme for Murder... you really couldn't ask for a better
local bill. Stay tuned for further updates, and we'll see you at the shows!
2/03/08
Updates! Updates! There's a whole raft of new pictures up under the Media
section - head over and check them out! Also, mark your calendars, because
we'll be playing a great show at the Showbox SoDo on Saturday, February
16th! (Hit us up at
JamesLSutter@yahoo.com for our special advance ticket price.) For our
southern friends, we'll be down in Tacoma for James's super-special all-ages
birthday show at Hell's Kitchen on March 1st. Last, but not least, there's
also a brand new banner - please help spread the word!

1/15/08
Wow, guys. Words cannot describe how much fun we had playing the Showbox on
Saturday. All 400+ of you folks who showed up for our set combined to make
it an absolutely unforgettable experience (and it didn't hurt that Mirror
the Ghost, Culling the Weak, MyEternal, and The Alliance totally freakin'
ruled!). Thanks to each and every one of you.
If you didn't make it out -
never fear! We'll be down in Tacoma at Club Adrian on Feb 1st with some of
those very same bands, and then back in Seattle at the Showbox SoDo on
February 15th. Stay tuned to the Tour page!
12/20/07
Thank you to everybody who came out to the High Dive on Tuesday... never
have we felt more loved than when we looked out and saw so many of our
friends there (and reppin' the new shirts, as well!). But now, we have some
big news:
SHADOW AT MORNING IS
PLAYING A SATURDAY NIGHT ALL-AGES SHOW AT THE SHOWBOX ON JANUARY 12TH. If
there's any Shadow at Morning show you should come to, it's this one! More
details are available on the tour page, and please consider buying the
tickets directly from us - it helps us, and saves you cash!
Hope to see you all on
Sunday for the Very Metal Christmas show!

12/01/07
TONIGHT'S SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO SNOW AND ICE.
Apparently conditions at Ground Zero are bad enough that they're shutting
down for the night. Apologies to everyone who was planning on coming (second
show in a row! our metal luck is poor!), but there will be a rescheduled
show coming soon, and hopefully we'll see you all on the 18th and 23rd!
11/19/07
Man, the holidays are going to be a busy time for us! Not
only are we playing a ton of shows in December and January (check out the
tour page to see when we'll be near you!), we should also have t-shirts
ready for sale in the next two weeks or so. Be sure to stay tuned for a peek
at the design! Also, the lyrics to our newest song are up under the music
page. It's called "Janus," after everyone's favorite two-headed Roman god of
endings and beginnings....
10/26/07
PLEASE NOTE THAT TONIGHT'S SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELED. There were
some issues beyond our control at the venue level, and the event was shut
down. If you purchased tickets and are having trouble returning them, please
let us know. Sorry for the confusion.

10/07/07
It's been a while since we've had a chance to update things,
but we've been busy. The show at the Columbia City Theater was the best yet,
and all the other bands rocked extremely hard. Since then we've been taking
a break to write and let Ryan M. travel around for work while Z starts his
new teaching job at UW (for he is indeed a scholar of more than just the
guitarly arts). Anyhow, there are a ton of new pictures up on the media
page, and a CRAZY metal rave down in the U District at the end of the month
that we'll be playing at, so why not look around and see what's new? Until
then, metal warriors, take care of each other!
8/11/07
Wow! We went
down to Olympia expecting a quality show, but we were completely unprepared
for the level of awesome we encountered. Every single one of the bands we
played with - Darkness Stole the Sky, The Formal, Theme for Murder, and
Valcor - is a group you should go check out now... they all put on
fabulous shows, and the music is beyond compare. My neck is still sore from
headbanging. If you weren't able to make it out, never fear - there are new
live videos of
Alexandria and The
Whistle and the Drum now up on YouTube.

8/06/07
Thanks to everyone who made it out to the Everett show on
Saturday - Jimmy Z's is a great venue, and we had a chance to make friends
with some totally wicked bands. (Insert a particular shout-out to
Cinis Cineris - those kids got some chops.)
If you missed the last one (or even if you didn't), Saturday's show looks to
be killer, so hope to see some of you there!

7/15/07
Many thanks to everyone who came out to Thursday's show - we
were really impressed by the venue and all of the bands, and hope you were
as well. If you missed it (or even if you didn't), August 3rd's children's
cancer benefit show at Jimmy Z's in Everett is going to be a magnificent
event for the best possible cause, so you should totally be there. Plus, as
a special bonus, if you show one of our show flyers at the door you get an
automatic $2 off the cover! How sweet is that? Just download and print off
the flyer above, and you're good to go! Hope to see you there!
7/04/07
So as it turns out, when
your myspace site is
doing really well, it's easy to forget to update your primary homepage.
We've got a ton of shows coming up, particularly in August, so be sure to
check out the tour page. Also, we've been writing hard this last month, so
expect to see some new material in the set very shortly...
5/02/07
Thanks to everyone who
came out and made our El Corazon show such a success - we truly couldn't
have asked for a better crowd or venue. If you didn't manage to catch it (or
simply want to relive the UNBRIDLED METAL MAJESTY), check out the pictures
and video up in the media section. Or just click this:

4/19/07
BIG NEWS, PEOPLE! Our official first show is going to be
Saturday, April 28th at El Corazon! Come check it out and give us your
support - you only get one chance at seeing a band's first performance, and
we'd love to pack the house!
4/18/07
New show added! Jimmy Z's on May 12th - brace yourself,
Everett! We're comin' for ya!
4/12/07
Just got word of our
first show - June 22nd at the Lab with Devola and Sights Over Seen. Stay
tuned for more!
4/8/07
It's finished! Both
tracks from our demo are now up on both the music section of this page and
our myspace site. Go check 'em out, and if you like what you hear, sign up for our mailing list
to get automatic show updates in your email.
3/14/07
The first track from the demo, "Alexandria," is up on the music page - check
it out! "The Whistle and the Drum" will be up as soon as post-production is
wrapped up. Patience, everyone!
